Later That Same Evening is an Opera written by John Musto inspired by the work of Edward Hopper and his paintings. Originally produced at Otterbein University, the show, after amazing reviews, was picked up by the Columbus Museum of Art to be shown in their in-house theatre for 4 performances. McCracken was not part of the original cast as this conflicted with his productions of Our Town and Bright Star. The summer following that semester, McCracken was asked by the director, Peggy Kohler if he was availble to join the cast at the Museum and prepare all of the music prior to their first performance on his own. The production was recieved extraordinarily and marked a great accomplishment for McCracken.
